Bio: 

I received my Ph.D. from UC Irvine in Comparative Literature in 1997. I teach courses in folklore, mythology, world literature, Celtic literature, and psychoanalysis. I lead the Proust Society of America's San Francisco Chapter; we meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at the Mechanics' Institute Library in downtown San Francisco.
