About Nicholas Troy Chivers

A San Francisco State Alum, Nick Chivers received his M.A. in Communication Studies focusing on critical theory, pedagogy, & gender and sexual identities. He is an adjunct faculty member at SFSU as well as Ohlone Community College, where he is a regular featured speaker in their Colloquium Series focusing on the social construction of gender & sexual identities and relationships of power & privilege therein. Nick is also part of the Metro Academies program at San Francisco State. When not engaging in communication studies, he enjoys ska music and running half marathons.
