About Judi E Strebel

Judi Strebel is a Professor of Marketing in the College of Business at San Francisco State University and is currently serving as Chair of the Marketing Department. She earned a PhD in Marketing from UC Berkeley, a MS in Agricultural Economics from UC Davis and BA in Economics from UC Berkeley. Her research focuses on the relationship between gender and decision making in a variety of marketing contexts.  Some areas of interest include the portrayal of women in advertising, modeling gender differences in confidence and exploring the relationship between motivation and shopping behavior.  Methodologies utilized in her research include survey design, content analysis and multivariate statistical techniques such as discrete choice modeling. Professor Strebel has published in the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology and Quantitative Marketing and Economics.
