Yumi Wilson teaches media writing, broadcast news and media studies in the Department of Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts at San Francisco State University. A former reporter and editor, she brings professional newsroom experience into the classroom, emphasizing clear writing, critical thinking and real-world storytelling.
Her current work focuses on how artificial intelligence is reshaping journalism, communication and media industries. She helps students think critically about when and how to use AI in their work, while maintaining accuracy, voice and ethical standards.
