Bio:

Anne Koch is a member of the management department in the College of Business at San Francisco State University.  Previously, she was a research fellow at SPRU, the Institute of Science, Technology and Policy Research at Sussex University in the United Kingdom, and a research fellow at the Haas School of Business in University of California, Berkeley.
 

She is currently involved in a number of research projects. First, she examines effective learning, risks, and governance choices in strategic alliances. Second, Dr. Koch explores how firms support innovation, knowledge management, and learning of new product development teams and communities of practice. She examines in this research how these firms invent, develop, and market innovations, such as healthcare products and biofuels.
 

Dr. Koch teaches classes on creativity and innovation and on strategic management at the graduate and undergraduate level. She gathered a variety of teaching experiences before coming to San Francisco State University. She was a visiting professor at the University of Washington. She also taught classes on new product development, innovation, and business strategy at the Leuphana University of Luenebury and the University of San Francisco.
