• Italian archaeology from the Iron Age to the late Antique with particular emphasis on urban life of the early imperial period.
• The art and archaeology of ancient Egypt under the Pharaohs, Ptolemies, and Roman Emperors.
• Digital and computing technology and its application to archaeology and Classical scholarship, especially 3D reconstruction, data-capture, and geological information systems (GIS) analysis.
