Dr. Valerie Rosenblatt is an assistant professor in the International Business Department at San Francisco State University. She holds a PhD in International Management from Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Valerie Rosenblatt’s research interests include cross-cultural training, cultural intelligence, cross-cultural management, business ethics, and global entrepreneurship. Her research has been published in the Academy of Management Learning and Education Journal, Journal of Business Ethics, Cross Cultural Management: An International Journal, and Academy of Management Best Paper Proceedings. She received the Management Education and Development Global Forum Best Paper Award at the 2012 Academy of Management Meeting and the Management Education and Development Global Forum Best Symposium Award at the 2013 Academy of Management Meeting. She was also a finalist for the Society of Business Ethics Best Dissertation Award, Best Student Paper Award from the MOC division at the 2012 Academy of Management, and William H. Newman Award for the best paper based on a dissertation.
Dr. Rosenblatt has taught courses on global entrepreneurship, strategic management, multinational business management, global management, and organizational behavior.
Prior to entering academia, Valerie Rosenblatt successfully started and ran a wide range of ventures including an online retail sports equipment company, a sports training facility, and a mobile technology consultancy. She worked as a management consultant at Accenture and a product manager for a Silicon Valley startup.
