Bio:

I am an Associate Professor of Economics at the Lam Family College of Business, San Francisco State University. I earned my Ph.D. in economics from the University of California at Riverside.

My research topics are situated in macro/monetary economics, consumer finances, inequality, and housing economics. My current work examines the implications of student loan debt on wealth outcomes for US households as well as the direct and indirect effects of monetary policy.

I believe in fostering an environment where education is accessible to all. I regularly advise students about the economics profession and love to collaborate with them on research. My goal is to improve diversity in the economics profession. To this end, I also serve as the CSWEP liaison and partner with R-Ladies.

I have previously worked in the area of Development Economics at the World Bank and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). I am an affiliate faculty at the Center for Applied Housing Research.
